DDL Inc. was established in 1990 by packaging & test engineers and industry thought leaders Patrick Nolan and John Hart.

DDL specializes in serving the medical device industry but also works with customers in the chemical, electronics, mechanical, aerospace, consumer products and automotive industries.

Patrick Nolan

Mr. Nolan has over twenty seven years of experience in the testing and analysis of packaging and products for shock and vibration hazards inherent in the distribution system.

Mr. Nolan serves the package testing industry as Chairman for the ASTM committee D-10 on Packaging and is also a member of the AAMI committee to draft a Technical Information Report (TIR), which identifies 11607 compliance regulation guidelines.

Mr. Nolan is a contributing writer to the Standard Handbook of Biomedical Engineering and Design and has been quoted and published in industry magazines including Pharmaceutical & Medical Packaging News, Medical Design Technology and PARCEL Distribution & Shipping.

Mr. Hart has devoted his entire career of 35 years to the testing industry, and has a wide ranging experience base in the medical device, product, and material testing fields.

Mr. Hart is a recognized thought leader in the product testing industry.  He has presented at industry tradeshows and has been quoted in Medical Product Manufacturing News and Medical Product Outsourcing.

Mr. Hart actively contributes to the package and product testing industry via his membership in the IES (Institute of Environmental Sciences) and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), ASTM, and AAMI.

     
Scott Levy

Mr. Levy has ten years of experience working in the medical device package testing industry. 

Mr. Levy is Vice President of the Medical Device Resource Group (MDRG), a coalition of Twin Cities-based companies that together offer the broad expertise needed to successfully develop and market a medical device. 

Mr. Levy has spoken on medical device package testing at Medical Device & Manufacturing tradeshows and has been published in industry magazines including Pharmaceutical & Medical Packaging News and Medical Design Technology.
     
Karen Greene

Ms. Greene is a tenured package engineering professional with nearly 25 years of experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging industry.  

Ms. Greene has led teams responsible for package development, validation and production implementation at companies such as Edwards Lifesciences, IMED Corporation, Ohmeda Medical and Allergan.

Ms. Greene is Vice President of the IoPP Southern California Chapter and is an active member of the Medical Device Task Force Group and a certified packaging professional, CPP.

     
Michael Foster

Mr. Foster has nearly fifteen years of experience in package sales and manages the DDL West sales division based in Costa Mesa, CA.

Mr. Foster is Treasurer and VP of Administration for the Southern California Chapter of the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IOPP).

Mr. Foster has also authored package testing industry articles, including “The Cost of Package Integrity”, which appeared in Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry Magazine.
     
Corey Hensel

Mr. Hensel has ten years of experience in the package testing industry and is responsible for DDL’s processes and operational efficiency.

Mr. Hensel is Chair of the ASTM D10.23 committee and is also a member of the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IOPP) and the Council on Safe Transportation of Hazardous Articles (COSTHA).

Mr. Gale has more than 25 years of experience in the high tech manufacturing industry, supporting both products and customers.

As Product Manager at DDL, Mr. Gale is responsible for expanding DDL's material testing capabilities and growing DDL's customer base in the material testing service area.

Mr. Gale is active within ASTM International.
