 DDL's Spring Package Testing Seminar!

April 19, 2012


DDL's Packaging Seminar, has been scheduled for April 19, 2012 in Fountain Valley, CA laboratory.  It will feature presentations on Accelerated Aging, Responsible Packaging and Test Methods to Evaluate the Material used in your Sterile Barrier System. 

In the afternoon, attendees will break into small groups for test method workshops and will rotate stations every 30 minutes. The following test methods will be conducted during small group workshops;

 
ASTM F88 - Peel Seal Testing
ASTM F2096 - Bubble Leak Testing
ASTM F1929 - Dye Leak Testing
ASTM F1886 - Visual Inspection Testing

Accelerated Aging

Presented by Scott Levy
Hear from the industry expert, DDL's packaging engineer Scott Levy, as he discusses accelerated aging and the impacts on our industry.  This presentation will offer an introduction to accelerated aging and an in depth expanation of the scope of ASTM F1980.  It will focus on the significance and uses as well as cautions to be aware of.


Global Standards & Unintended Consequences of Sustainable Package Developent
Presented by Patrick Nolan
Learn how testing programs using global standards can reduce the possibility of unintended consequences in sustainable package development.

Along the sustainable development continuum are an almost infinite number of inputs, factors and effects that will determine the definitive sustainability of the process or product as it relates to the economics, social responsibility and environment. 


Test Methods to Evaluate the Material used in your Sterile Barrier System for Shelf-life Products

• Porosity Measurement for Materials
• Impact Testing of Plastic Film
• Dynamic Tensile Behavior,
• Drop Impact Resistance of Blow-Molded Thermoplastic Containers
