The meeting was called to order at approximately 9:00 am on Monday September 25th. After introduction of the attendees, Mr. Boncompagni discussed the draft document.

In the previous meeting, the WG agreed on the structure of combining the two Parts of the current standard into a single document.

The ensuing discussion revolved around the proposed 2nd draft of the revised standard presented by Mr. Boncompagni. Some of the highlights of the proposed draft are presented below and revolved around the Test Schedule Tables.

• Japan (Mr. Maezawa) presented a proposal for the vibration test as follows:
Sept '06 Trip\Japanese Proposal 2.pdf

The committee discussed this proposal and decided to accept the vibration profile as described in ISO 13355, and to accept the time durations for the three assurance levels; but rejected the concept of the using the detailed time durations for the journey length on the grounds that there is no supporting evidence for these test times and journey length correlations; and that in fact each journey will entail various quality of road surfaces and may produce different results.

Other revisions to the tables are proposed as follows:
Sept '06 Trip\Revs to Tables 11-6-06.pdf
• Specifying orientations for the drop tests.
• Clarification for the orientations for the vibration tests.

Other editorial revisions were discussed and approved at this meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 4:00 pm on September 25, 2006
