Lab Technician

Primary Purpose:

The primary role of the Lab Tech is the timely and accurate execution of test procedures as requested by the customer's projects.

Areas of Impact:

Achievement of DDL's goals, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty and retention.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

* Preparation of samples for testing
* Performance of testing with the specified test plan and/or SOP for each test.
* Documentation of results
* Communication of test status to PM and LM
* Repackaging of the product after testing is complete
* Recommend improvements for methods
* Contribute with failure analysis, when applicable
* Report safety concerns to LM
* Shipping and Receiving as needed
* Keep Training records up to date
* Ensure that the lab remains clean and organized

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Lab experience desired

Certification, License, and Registration:

UN certification and CPLT desired.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

DDL maintains a normal office environment with daily exposure to moving machinery in a lab setting. Physical effort requires near, mid-range, and far vision, talking, seeing, and hearing; using computer keyboard, mouse, and screen 40-50% of the workday. An employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Hearing and eye protection are recommended in the lab when testing is being conducted.
