History of DDL
Over Twenty Years of Package and Product Testing Experience
DDL was founded in 1990 by John Hart and Patrick Nolan. Mr. Hart and Mr. Nolan had previously worked for MTS Systems located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. An opportunity arose when MTS made a set of strategic decisions and the duo started DDL (Distribution Dynamic Labs).
In early 2003, a second test lab was opened in Costa Mesa, California. This lab was eventually relocated to Fountain Valley, California in 2009. In September of 2007, DDL was purchased by TCP Reliable, a full service manufacturer of cold chain packaging products, located in Edison, NJ.
Complementing its medical device package testing, DDL also carries out product and materials testing in the Eden Prairie facility. Both DDL facilities are ISO 9001:2008 certified.
DDL was founded on a commitment to customer service supported by technical expertise, a robust quality system, quick turnarounds and an upfront sales approach. After over twenty years of serving various industries DDL remains “Tested and Proven.”
